Low Impact Aerobics
Low Impact Aerobics classes offer an effective workout to improve flexibility,
muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness. The classes are performed
to music and you will learn simple routines designed to increase your
heart rate. There will also be stretching and light body conditioning
exercises during the class.
What is the class like?
The class starts with a warm up and stretching. After that, the instructor
will lead you through exercises and routines that gradually increase your
heart rate. You should expect to be breathing harder than normal, and
you will probably get hot and sweaty, but the instructor will always offer
alternative levels of exercises so that you can work at your own pace,
and take a break if you need to.
Towards the end of the class you will cool down and stretch again. We
do not usually do any floor exercises in this class.
The class lasts an hour.
What should I bring to class and what should I wear?
You should wear clothes suitable for exercise – track suit
bottoms or leggings and a tee shirt are fine. You should wear trainers,
or other similar footwear. You may wish to bring a sweatshirt or jumper
to wear at the beginning and end of the class, particularly during colder
weather.
You don’t need to bring any equipment to the class, but we do suggest
that you bring a bottle of water. |
Helping You

What our members say.....
"I think this class really works my body all over. I
like the way that we are given easier exercises to do if we need
them so that everybody is catered for."
"It’s a good fun class, and I like having to use
my brain a bit to try and remember the routines, but it doesn’t
matter if we get them wrong!" |
